My Epilepsy Story

International Women with Epilepsy Day

March 1st is the 1st Annual International Women with Epilepsy Day!

Today is International Women with Epilepsy Day!  This has been a vision of mine for several years to have a day devoted to EMPOWER Women and Girls Living with Epilepsy in EVERY corner of the world and it is so exciting to see the day finally arrive.  I am thankful for everyone that has made this day possible from my assistant Jackie, to my husband, to our board members, and especially for each woman and girl living with epilepsy as well as the families that have lost their wives or daughters to epilepsy.   Each of these stories is powerful and will change the lives of millions of women and girls diagnosed each year with epilepsy.

At My Epilepsy Story (MES), we are going to ‘Bridge the Gap’ by Advocating, Researching and Educating for these young girls and women.  It is important to not only bring awareness but also to address the unique needs that females living with epilepsy have.  At MES, we believe that Together We Can begin to change the lives of millions of young women and girls living with epilepsy!  Please join with us on March 1st by showing support on social media, within your local community as well as donating to My Epilepsy Story.   I am so excited to have each of you join with me!

We are also excited to announce the new services that MES has to offer.  We are offering a Transportation Program, Educational Services, Health & Wellness Program, Money Management, Women in the Workforce, and a section to Find a Doctor. In addition, we have a place called THRIVE.  This year our goal is to have women and girls living with epilepsy not just survive but to THRIVE!  Please join with us today and everyday to EMPOWER Women and Girls Living with Epilepsy in EVERY corner of the world.

XOXO,

Brandy
