1 in 26: Women With Epilepsy Campaign (WWE)

My Epilepsy Story’s 1 in 26: Women With Epilepsy Campaign kicks off on November 1st, which is the beginning of Epilepsy Awareness Month. Our goal is to raise 26,000 dollars for those 1 in 26 people diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime, especially since HALF are women. Please donate $26 help to advocate, research, and educate about epilepsy and women’s health conditions related to their epilepsy.

My Epilepsy Story (MES) is a national, non-profit organization that aims to bridge the gap for women and girls diagnosed with epilepsy. Our organization is also the only non-profit in the world that focuses just on women and girls. Additionally, MES does not accept pharmaceutical money.

November 14th, 6:00-7:30PM, Holy Cross Hospital

My Epilepsy Story will be co-sponsoring Holy Cross Hospital’s Epilepsy Art Therapy & Support Group on November 14th, 2018, located at 1500 Forest Glen Rd, Silver Spring, MD, 20910! MES is very excited to collaborate with local Silver Spring Neurologist, Gregory Mathews, MD for this epilepsy support group event.

Holy Cross Hospital’s Epilepsy Art Therapy & Support Group is a community outreach endeavor to allow patients of all ages and their families to participate in art, snacks, and community networking. MES will be providing art supplies, including: acrylic paints, chalk pastels, oil pastels, colored pencils, markers, canvases, and drawing paper. At the end of the event, you may either keep your artwork or donate it to us to auction at a later event to continue raising money for next year’s research award!
