1st International Women With Epilepsy Day!
My Epilepsy Story is pleased to present March 1st as the 1st Annual International Women With Epilepsy Day! This monumental day highlights the unique struggles that women and girls living with epilepsy face. Further, WE aim to Bridge the Gap by increasing awareness for these women through advocacy, research, and education.
Join Us March 1st and help raise awareness by sharing through social media. We also encourage donating to help fund our Transportation Program and the Kimford J. Meador Research in Women with Epilepsy Award. Click here for more information.
November 14th, 6:00-7:30PM, Holy Cross Hospital
My Epilepsy Story will be co-sponsoring Holy Cross Hospital’s Epilepsy Art Therapy & Support Group on November 14th, 2018, located at 1500 Forest Glen Rd, Silver Spring, MD, 20910! MES is very excited to collaborate with local Silver Spring Neurologist, Gregory Mathews, MD for this epilepsy support group event.
Holy Cross Hospital’s Epilepsy Art Therapy & Support Group is a community outreach endeavor to allow patients of all ages and their families to participate in art, snacks, and community networking. Further, MES will be providing art supplies, including: acrylic paints, chalk pastels, oil pastels, colored pencils, markers, canvases, and drawing paper. At the end of the event, you may either keep your artwork or donate it to us to auction at a later event to continue raising money for next year’s research award!

1 in 26: Women With Epilepsy Campaign (WWE)
My Epilepsy Story’s 1 in 26: Women With Epilepsy Campaign kicks off on November 1st, which is the beginning of Epilepsy Awareness Month. Our goal is to raise 26,000 dollars for those 1 in 26 people diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime, especially since HALF are women. Please donate $26 help to advocate, research, and educate about epilepsy and women’s health conditions related to their epilepsy.
My Epilepsy Story (MES) is a national, non-profit organization that aims to bridge the gap for women and girls diagnosed with epilepsy. Our organization is also the only non-profit in the world that focuses just on women and girls. Additionally, MES does not accept pharmaceutical money.

Plaid Rabbit's Women With Epilepsy Campaign
Plaid Rabbit’s Women With Epilepsy Campaign begins on Monday, October 29th, 2018, and continues throughout the week, until Saturday, November 3rd, 2018. 1 in 26 will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime and HALF are women. Plaid Rabbit has partnered with us to support women and girls diagnosed with epilepsy. Both My Epilepsy Story and Plaid Rabbit are both proud advocates of women supporting women and women supporting girls.
