My Epilepsy Story

Reflecting on 2018

As I reflect on 2018 the word that comes to mind is Thankful.  I am thankful for wishes… I am thankful for all that we are are accomplishing at My Epilepsy Story (MES).  I am thankful for the amazing women and girls living with epilepsy that I have had the opportunity to meet this year.  I am thankful for the families of these women and girls diagnosed with epilepsy that I have had the privilege to get to know this year.  I am thankful for our Corporate Partners that have joined with us to change the lives of millions of women and girls.  I am also thankful for each doctor and medical professional that has joined with MES and has selflessly cared for these females diagnosed with epilepsy.

This past year has not been an easy year for lots of women and girls living with epilepsy or the families that have lost a wife, mother, daughter, sister, or friend to epilepsy….  Or for the ones that are still searching for answers to find seizure freedom.  With each new story I hear or woman that I meet that is impacted by epilepsy it makes me more driven to push MES forward.  Every tear that is shed because of the death of a woman or girl diagnosed with epilepsy will not be in vain… Every tear that is shed from having another seizure or the fear of what will happen next will not be in vain…. We will push forward!  We will rise to the challenge!  We will advocate!  We will research!  We will educate!  We will EMPOWER these women and girls as well as their families!

The core of My Epilepsy Story’s mission is to Advocate, Research, and Educate, to do this we need your support. You can donate here.  Please join with us and make 2019 the year for Women and Girls Living with Epilepsy as well as the year for the families that have lost their loved one to epilepsy.  We cannot sit back and wait another year to change things for Women and Girls Living with Epilepsy.   I am thankful that wishes do come true and 2019 is our year!

XOXO,
Brandy
