What’s Your Reason To Be Brave?

holdhands

holdhandsWhat’s your reason to be BRAVE? My reason to be BRAVE is for everyone that lives with or is affected by neurological disorders. I do not understand the complexities of neurological disorders. They plague so many people in this world. For our family it is AUTISM and EPILEPSY. There is fear, uncertainty, so many unknowns, as well as so much more…..When you surrender to what you don’t understand you can actually be BRAVE. I heard this new song from Josh Groban last night as I was watching him on the BIG SCREEN in Nashville with some of AMAZING women! Of course the title of the song is BRAVE… Here are the words:

“Wake up, wake up, the sun cannot wait for long.
Reach out, reach out before it fades away.
You will find the warmth when you surrender.
Smile into the fear and let it play.

You wanna run away, run away and you say that it can’t be so.
You wanna look away, look away but you stay cause’ it’s all so close.
When you stand up and hold out your hand.
In the face of what I don’t understand.
My reason to be brave.

Hold on, hold on, so strong, time just carries on.
And all that you thought was wrong is pure again.
You can’t hide forever from the thunder.
Look into the storm and feel the rain.

You wanna run away, run away and you say that it can’t be so.
You wanna look away, look away but you stay cause’ it’s all so close.
When you stand up and hold out your hand.
In the face of what I don’t understand.
My reason to be brave.

Whoa (x 4)

Go on, go on…

You wanna run away, run away and you say that it can’t be so.
You wanna look away, look away but you stay cause’ it’s all so close.
When you stand up and hold out your hand.
In the face of what I don’t understand.
My reason to be brave.”

As I sit here today and search for the things that I don’t understand, I am reminded that we all have to look into the storm and be BRAVE. Why are you BRAVE? Who’s hand are you holding as you are looking into your storm?
